ePAK introduces a new InP wafer shipper: a coin shipper for 3 inch (76mm) indium phosphide wafers. The eCT3-76-R.5 holds one InP wafer per container in a clear polycarbonate lid and base, with a PBT cross spring that keeps the wafer in place.
Built for brittle InP wafers
InP is brittle. Its fracture toughness is well below silicon and below GaAs, it cleaves readily along crystal planes, and damage to the mirror-finish device side is often invisible until wafer-level test.
A coin shipper gives each high-value InP wafer its own container, so wafers are handled and shipped one at a time.
